Give Big Fest

Give Big Fest is the countywide kickoff to Give Big 2026. On Thursday evening, April 30, local partners across Gallatin County will host celebrations that bring nonprofits and neighbors together to build momentum for 24 hours of giving.

Use the sections below for logistics, RSVP expectations, and community specific details.

  • Each community hosts its own Fest, led by local partners
  • Nonprofits are encouraged to join the Fest in the town where they are based
  • Event details vary so each Fest reflects the character and strength of its community
  • RSVPs are required for nonprofits planning to participate in a local Give Big Fest
  • All RSVPs are due Friday, March 27
  • Please contact the team lead only if your organization is based in that town
  • Final times and details will continue to be updated

One Valley will host Give Big Fest celebrations across the county on Thursday evening.

Nonprofits are encouraged to participate in their local Give Big Fest and plan any in person events for Friday. This keeps Thursday focused on shared countywide celebrations and gives organizations dedicated space the following day for their own activities.

Belgrade

Give Big Fest Belgrade will be hosted at Bar 3 BBQ. Belgrade Community Library Foundation is generously coordinating this event. This gathering is open to neighboring organizations in Manhattan. Contact Mark Browning at mebrowning@midrivers.com.

Bozeman

Give Big Fest Bozeman will be an outdoor carnival and festival at Ferguson Farm from 5 to 8 pm. Nonprofits who would like to join must bring a tent and host a simple activity (games, trivia, demonstrations, live music, and more). Register by March 27 using this form.

Big Sky

Give Big Fest Big Sky will bring together local nonprofits and supporters for an evening centered on community, connection, and fun. Plans include trivia bingo, kids' activities, and opportunities to learn about the organizations that care for Big Sky. Contact Tamara Knappenberger at tamara@bigskyarts.org.

Gallatin Gateway

Give Big Fest Gallatin Gateway is in the works; more details will be available soon. If you are an organization based in Gallatin Gateway and would like to sign up or help coordinate the event, reach out to Lauri Olsen at llolsen@live.com.

Three Forks

Give Big Fest Three Forks will bring together neighbors and local nonprofits at Bridger Brewing's Three Forks location. This is a chance to shake hands, catch up with familiar faces, and learn more about the folks working hard to care for the land, families, and future of Three Forks. If you would like to join, reach out to Megan Buecking at 406-600-2544 or megan@montanastateparks.org.

West Yellowstone

Give Big Fest West Yellowstone will be hosted at Yellowstone Beer Co. The West Yellowstone Foundation will be coordinating the community event. Contact Carrie Coan at carriecoan@westyellowstonefoundation.org.

Events Hosted by Your Organization

Events are an optional way to bring people together, share your mission, and celebrate generosity during Give Big.

What are Give Big events?

Give Big events are in person or virtual gatherings that:

  • Invite neighbors, donors, and volunteers into your work
  • Create touchpoints for conversation and connection
  • Highlight the impact of your organization year round

There is no single right way to host an event. Start with what feels authentic and manageable for your team.

Event ideas

Many nonprofits choose simple formats that are easy to run and welcoming for the community, such as:

  • Open houses or office tours
  • Hands on activities or demonstrations
  • Partnerships with local businesses
  • Small gatherings with board members, donors, or volunteers
  • Informational sessions that introduce new supporters to your mission

Events do not need to be large or complex. A thoughtful, welcoming space can go a long way.
