Live Webinars for Give Big Nonprofits
The "Final Training: Give Big Details" is MANDATORY for all first and second year nonprofits. It is highly recommended for all nonprofits, especially those with new staff or board members helping with Give Big. All other trainings are optional.
Getting Started: Giving Days 101
Tuesday, March 5, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
WHAT: Learn everything you need to know about the Give Big Gallatin Valley, including how to register your organization for the big event and the features available to make your organization as successful as possible. This course will be led by GiveGab Project Manager, Kaitie Branton, our website expert. Kaitie will share tips for navigating the Give Big site as well as best practices she has learned from working with giving days across the country. We’ll conclude by answering any of your Give Big Gallatin Valley questions and highlighting the resources available to make getting ready for Give Big Gallatin Valley a breeze!
WHO: All Gallatin County nonprofits are welcome for this session. It will be most helpful to first and second year nonprofits who are still learning their way around what a giving day is and how they can set their organizations up for success. Additionally, if you are a new nonprofit who has not yet registered, you are welcome to join this session to learn more about whether you want to join Give Big 2024.
Storytelling and Marketing Strategies for Give Big Campaign Success
Tuesday, March 26th, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
WHAT: During Give Big, we connect with our donors and the broader community by sharing stories that inspire people to give, feel proud to sustain our mission, and welcome new supporters. But making the story you share in your appeals and across your social media channels shine bright enough to propel giving can feel like an overwhelming task with a 24-hour campaign.
Join Allison Rock, Director of Philanthropy Content for Message Lab Media, for an hour-long workshop on how to confidently select, write and share your story through email, print and social media. She'll share a straightforward outline for telling your story and making a strong case for support throughout your campaign communications.
WHO: This training is for all nonprofits participating in Give Big. Allison will be sharing ideas about storytelling that are applicable for organizations both big and small and cross all areas of nonprofit work.
Virtual Open House with Give Big Staff
Friday, March 29th, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
WHAT: Stop by for a virtual open house. Give Big staff will be online to answer any questions you may have. It can be about approval, using social media graphics, strategies, best practices, or anything else that is top of mind for you and your organization. This is your chance to ask about anything not covered in the other trainings. Even if you don’t have questions, you are welcome to join for an opportunity to hear from other participating organizations and brainstorm ideas as a group.
WHO: This session is open to any of your team members who have questions or want to learn more for Give Big.
Final Training: Give Big Details
Tuesday, April 2nd, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
WHAT: This training is the most comprehensive training offered for Give Big 2024. It covers all of the details that nonprofits need to know for their participation in Give Big. We will discuss and review rules, logistics, day of plans, outreach opportunities, and payment and receipt information. This training has been specially designed to cover questions nonprofits typically ask from April through June. It is very helpful to the Give Big team if at least one person per organization attends this training.
WHO: This training is MANDATORY for at least one representative from each first and second-year organization. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all nonprofits.
